Using Intuition to Succeed in Your Life

Intuition is an incredible resource and gift that we have been given to help us live our best life. Unfortunately, not many people know what it is or how to use it. The word intuition means “in to you” in Latin. Florence Scovel, a theologian, once said, “Intuition is the spiritual faculty that doesn’t explain; it seemingly points the way.” It’s also been said that intuition is your divine Spirit talking to you. If you will stop for a moment and acknowledge this, you will begin to realize the incredible perspective you have at your fingertips. You have this very amazing power! And you don’t even have to get any special training to start using it. All you need to do is raise your awareness about it and set your intention to harness it.

Intuitive messages range from an inkling to a strong sign or message. Your inner self is persistent and consistent. It will keep trying to get your attention until you finally wise up! An inkling is like a glimmer or passing feeling/ thought that comes from somewhere inside and usually proceeds a hunch or intuitive message. A “hunch” is accurate information from a higher intelligence; therefore, you can rely on it. An intuitive message ranges from hearing actual words, seeing a clear picture, or a deep inner knowing. Some people experience intuition as a feeling, others a gut reaction, others will see images or have a dream, others hear an actual message. Become familiar with how your inner self communicates with you. Once you receive the message, check it out with your research.

The best ways to get in touch with your intuition are:

1. Be quiet
Practice taking time out every day to experience silence. Calm your mind with traditional or active meditation. Release your need to think, analyze, and know everything. The best information comes from the deep recesses of your soul.

2. Be open
Open to the gift of intuition and accept what is has to tell you. Many times, our ego thinks it has it “all figured out,” but your true path may look very different than the one you are on. Being open to new possibilities and ways of living is key.

3. Be creative
There are many ways to be creative, painting, writing, dancing, designing a website, etc. Do something that helps you get into the “flow,” that place where time seems to fly by and the work is leading you. Creativity is an expression of your soul and goes hand-in-hand with intuitive guidance.

4. Ask questions
When you ask yourself questions, you gain additional insight and clarity. When you ask a question like “What is the next step I need to take?” know that you already know what you need to know. Trust yourself. You already have everything you need inside.

5. Journal
When you write, you tap into thoughts, feelings, ideas and direction that you are not consciously aware of. Writing allows the truth to come forth and is an easy way to gain insight from your inner self.

You can further develop your intuitive guidance by preparing yourself by gathering the necessary information and experiences to provide more of an opportunity for your intuition to surface.
Intuition cannot be forced; you need to allow it. After loading up your mind with information about the issue, give your intuition time to work on it. And then become open to the answer. You will likely experience an “Aha” moment, which is a moment of instant awareness, where the answer sprouts from “out of the blue.”

If you have an important decision to make and are not 100% sure about something happening, stop and think before making a decision. Usually this is your intuition trying to tell you that something is not quite right. Likewise, if you feel that you should go for it, do it, so you don ’t miss a valuable opportunity. Intuition is your very own best friend. It is always there for you, and it waits patiently for you to be in communication.

Intuition will provide the best advice, and all you have to do is ask! Like any good friendship, all it takes to nurture it is a little time and attention. If you decide to be close and intimate with your intuition, I promise that your life will transform into something wonderful.

How to Get Past Resistance

Q: Once we discover our destiny, how do you recommend getting past the resistance to living it?

Resistance is what stands between the life you live and the unlived life within you. When I experienced the greatest resistance was when I made the biggest break through inmy life and career. On a deep level, I knew something was needing to change inmy life, something big like a relationship break-up, and a move of residence, but I did not want to think about leavingmy comfort zone of living on the island where I very much enjoyed a quiet, simple life where I could still runmy virtual business.

When something like this happens in your life, recognize that it is a very important choice-point. What you choose to do (or not do) has far reaching effects; so be careful, because if you let resistance rule you instead of your “greatness,” you may miss out on the life experiences that you are meant to have.
For example, when I made the change, I met and married the man of my dreams, attracted new soul-mated friends and my business took off. I know in my heart none of that would have occurred, had I resisted what I knew was true for me—even though it was a lot of work—I went through a lot of release and had to pack and unpack my stuff three times in one year, until I settled in with a wonderful new home with my hunky buns.

Once I faced the fear, felt my way through it, and accepted my next step, all those physical symptoms subsided, and a new sense of Self and a burst of energy became activated.
When you are shifting through a major transition (divorce, career change, move, financial challenge, living your PURPOSE), it is common to be in a state of negative emotional and mental overload that makes it difficult to think clearly and make wise decisions.
However, the stress that you are experiencing is the perfect prescription to evolve your soul—if you choose to see the blessing in the chaos (by the way, chaos, change and challenge are what I know to be “stepping stones to Destiny.”)
You can learn new skills that are built upon a spiritual foundation and learn to access the wisdom of your own soul which will empower you to recreate your reality based on what you really desire.

Where Are You in the Change Process?

Change is a steppingstone to Destiny. In fact, change is one of the most important steps that will propel us to getting to where we are meant to go. However, human beings rarely take to it like we are Tarzan swinging from one tree to another, smoothly, with a sense of power and triumph. More often, we feel like we are on a roller coaster ride, being rushed through dark tunnels at frightening speed.

Change scares us because we perceive it as a threat or a danger. When first presented with change, we tend to ’default’ into protection mode about who we are and how life is supposed to work. In many ways, life changes may be considered “little deaths” with their own grieving process required. Think about it, even a positive change like a promotion can be nerve-wracking, afterall, it is something “new.”

Be patient with your process and give yourself space to process and adjust to the “new normal.” I know when I was going through many changes all at once…..moving several times, leaving a relationship, doing some deep personal growth work, I could fall in to overwhelm and fear. Gratefully, I had taught others about making life changes many times before, and I expected to walk through some different phases, each with its own challenges.

Learning to accept where we are in our process is an important part of moving through change with more ease and grace. For me, it was helpful to keep at the top of my mind, that successfully managing change had always led to a new sense of self and personal empowerment, and even closer to my greater Destiny.

Here are the phases that you may go through as you undergo radical change. These phases are normal and necessary and nothing to be feared. Above all, refrain from making yourself wrong, no matter where you may be….because when you ALLOW yourself, you will move through and move on in due time!

Phase One: Denial
This looks like a lack of reaction to the change. A “this can’t be happening” mentality that pushes against the changes.
You know you are in denial if you withdraw and are focused on the past.

Phase Two: Resistance
In this phase, strong feelings about the change emerge such as feeling doubt, anger, anxiety or uncertainty. With the appropriate expression methods, you can move through the emotional ups and downs much quicker by talking about it, journaling,etc.
You know you are in resistance if you experience anger, blame, apathy or other draining emotions.

Phase Three: Exploration
During this phase, you are drawing upon your creativity and resources to create new possibilities. When you embrace change, this can be an exciting time, especially when you choose to walk with other “pioneers” who are leading the way.
You know you are in exploration, if you are seeking new ideas, feel a bit confused about which way to go, are accessing new energy to move forward.

Phase Four: Commitment
At this point, you are ready to make long range plans and take action to move forward in a new direction. For a career change, that may look like planning your exit strategy or taking additional training. For a relationship change, it may mean joining a club or doing forgiveness work. You know you are in commitment if you are taking steps to move on.

What will it mean to you when you finally recognize, embrace and radiate your bright light in your business?

In the online world, there are many false fronts, empty promises, and scam artists.   While learning the ropes as a virtual business owner, you may take a few detours and ego trips, in the search to find the way that works for you. When driven by your ego, your unconcsious needs will try to get met through external sources.

Know that all experiences serve your deeper growth to becoming an enlightened entrepreneur.
You often have to know your NO in order to find your Yes and that takes some experimentation. There are certainly many gurus who will sell you their opinion even though their approach may not work for you.

In my 12+ years online, I have seen that one of the most challenging things to do is stay true to yourself,when the “world” will try to influence you into buying into material values, and the predominant energy has been that of the ego’s “getting mentality.”

To have a soul-aligned business, you must consciously decide to follow the beat of your inner compass (your heart and soul) and turn away from all that is not created from LOVE.

Learning to listen to, honor, and love yourself is often one of the spiritual lessons that comes from owning a business. Another lesson is learning to allow/let go. The biggest difference between a soul-based and ego-based business is your ability to surrender and let go. When you are relating to your clients and business on a soul level, you deeply realize that everything that happens is perfect in its own way. You start to recognize the perfection of everything that happens even when it does match your original vision.

When you surrender completely to what is; you allow for divine order and soul success. You get to enjoy more fun and fulfillment because in a soul-centered business, you are sharing from your heart, giving your gifts, simply because it feels good to do so.

Be Free to Be More of Who You Are
You also have access to a deep sense of freedom that permeates all moments. You become free to fully express your true self, and allow yourself to become a channel for the Divine. You know that even though your fingers may do the typing, inspiration is being downloaded from a
higher source.

You work “in-spirit” and embody that in who you are and what you produce. And this feels like Bliss!

Fear Not Your Future is Brighter Than You Realize

Recently I admitted that I had been afraid of making technical changes, and how once I did make those changes, how amazed I was at the sheer amount of energy this freed up in me. I compared the old Michelle with that o fa fraidy cat and the new Michelle is a roaring lionness. It is true, I feel like I can do anything now.

I had not realized how much of my personal power I was giving away to my fear. Now I have come to understand fear at a greater level. I see that fear is really just a lack of understanding. Because once I understood the process and what needed to be done, it was like, hey, no problem, I can do that!

I have seen this time and again with my coaching clients too, they come to me at first timid and lacking self- confidence, and after just a couple of sessions, they get activated, at their soul level.

That is the power of soul coaching, when we connect on that deep soul to soul connection, something gets sparked within you that allows you to be and do more. I cannot really explain what happens, you really just have to experience for yourself, to feel the powerful energy exchange that happens between us.
And then, like a miracle, things start shifting and moving in your favor, and things start lining up, showing you the next best step to take.
I wish I could take all the credit, but I have to tell you, it is because when YOU are willing to do your inner work, everything just starts transforming right before your very eyes.

There is a lot of fear tv and media out there. I do not personally watch, read or listen to it, but on occasion I will over hear others talking about the latest thing to be afraid of. If you ask me it is all a ploy to keep human beings out of their power so we can be controlled by a ego-dominated system that thrives on greed. (how is that for a soap box)?

There is nothing to fear. There will always be jobs, there will always be loss of jobs, because there is a balance to everything. However, you can put yourself in a better position to handle the coming changes and challenges of the new earth, by obtaining self-knowledge and applying spiritual techniques to your real life challenges.

We live in a belief driven universe. Whatever you believe to be true comes true. PERIOD. End of Sentence.
However, To live a truly abundant and happy life requires an investment of time, money and energy.
You can change you beliefs about money any time you want, so why not choose to believe that money is abundant and comes to me before I even need it. Money is energy and freely flows to me Now.

The Age of the Soul & The Purpose of You

We are here to do a great work because the mind that created us knew what it wanted us to do when it created us. — Raymond Barker

We are undergoing an alchemical transformation of what it means to be human.
Traditionally, we have held two world views: material and mystical.   I believe we will be moving beyond a dualistic world view to a holistic worldview where everything—light, dark, material and mystical unify and harmonize.

A Course in Miracles teaches that welfare of the world depends on you learning.  Learning what you might ask? Learning to live a higher life and learning to actualize your humanity and mature into your divinity.

The time for spiritual education is here. We can no longer cast a blind eye to the ills, wrongs, and general ignorance of our current reality. It is time for an end of the ego and the rise of the Soul.

Many prophecies about the Shift of Consciousness that is occurring between now and 2012 have emerged from ancient traditions of the Mayans, Hopi, Zulu. With this ending of a cycle comes a sense of loss and the opportunity for massive expansion.

A new consciousness is being birthed on the planet, I call it the Age of the Soul, because inner lights are being awakened and activated, causing humanity to grow its angel wings.

We are blessed with the very real opportunity to ascend higher up the evolutionary scale, where we can experience our own version of heaven on earth.

You have everything you need to be a pioneer in this new age of practical spirituality.   The good news is that the divine you is not something you need to create. God already did that. The divine you is the light and love that you are. Your job is to clear the blockages so you can shine bright.

The New energy arriving on planet Earth requires a new and upgraded human being, one in sync with their soul’s purpose and strong in loving presence, a divine human.

Now more than ever we are called to trust our inner knowing and make spiritually smart life decisions.

We live in an era that is inspiring souls to awaken and take action.

Let everyone get in their destined place.   It’s time to for us to unite and create a bright new reality. This work requires the heart, hands, and intentions of as many people as possible.  We will need to create new solutions to modern-day problems, and be called upon to work together collaboratively.

First let us understand what the soul is. As C.S. Lewis so eloquently puts it:  “You do not have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.”   The soul is the spiritual essence behind your physical form.   It is eternal, unlimited, and connected to Infinite Intelligence.  Your SOUL knows who we are, why we are here, and where we are going.

Thus it is no accident that You are here on Earth at this time of the Great Shift in Consciousness (or the fact that you are reading this).

The divine’s plan for salvation includes you.   You are at a choice point.
Will you choose to ascend or remain stagnant?

Your answer to this question may reveal how ready you are to show up and shine:  What do you think when you think…” if others saw the real me, they would ?”

Marianne Williamson says, “they would be blinded by my light!”
When we can see ourselves as divine, light and love filled beings with wisdom to share, gifts to bring, then we can see it in others.

So it’s the divine time for YOU to:

Reclaim your divine inheritance

Accept that you are anointed and appointed to do great things.

Take action on your desires and dreams.

Discover If Your Soul is at Work

Confucius once said, “Choose a career you love and you will never work another day in your life.” If you think about this, what a different experience we could have in our work lives. If we actually loved the work we were doing, it wouldn’t seem so much like our traditional concept of work (drudgery/pain). Think about it! How many jobs have you had that you dreaded going to? What are some of the differences between a job, a career, and your life’s work? Let’s define it.

A job is something you get paid to do (money is the primary motivation). It is easy to perform because there is not much challenge, and you will eventually find other work to do. It may or may not fully engage you. Spirit may or may not be present.

A career is something you get paid to do that is viewed as a profession (status or identity is the motivation). It may provide more challenge, but after a while, you may get burned out, and choose to stop doing it. It may or may not fully engage you. Spirit may or may not be present.

Your life’s work is something you do whether you get paid for it or not (your soul’s need for expression is the motivation). There is plenty of challenge and personal meaning. You will always want to do it. It definitely fully engages you. Spirit is present.

Remember that a job can get you started toward your life’s work. In fact, jobs provide the very important element of exposure to different kinds of industries. Take for example, a woman who started out working in a department store as a clerk, who moved into a management position, and finally created her life’s work as an independent contractor who trains others in customer service skills.

To find out if your spirit is working, take note of the statements that sound like you in your present work environment:

World benefits from your work
Your intentions and actions match
You are propelled by a larger life purpose
Integration of being and doing (balance of feminine and masculine energies)
Soul leads you through the process (there are no instructions, no right or wrong way!)
You feelunsure of how to make it happen
Fully engaged, frequent moments of flow and inspiration
You are stepping into your Greatness
Increased awareness and sensitivity
Deeper thoughts, higher level thinking
Questioning the status quo
Inner feelings of peace and contentment (like you have found the right path)
Non-traditional, shatters the box (requires you to venture into unknown territory)
Opportunity to really express who you really are
Discovering skills and talents you never knew you had

1. Because of the POS) Personal Operating System we use.—What is your POS? Does it need an upgrade?

2. Because of the Personal Environment Surrounding Us—You are most like the five books you last read, five people you spend the most time with, and the five places you consistently live and/or travel.

3. Because We Don’t Know What We Don’t Know—What don’t you know that would be wise to know? What do you want to “get smart” about?

4. Because of Our Degree of Self-Awareness—You do what you can sense. What are you not sensing that would help you know yourself more intimately?

5. Because of What We Believe To Be True—Truth is evolving very quickly. Can you keep up?

6. Because of Our Humanity—You inherited biological and sociological influences such as genes, personality, ego, past, roles, and responsibilities.

7. Because of Our Society—You were born into a culture that often defines who you are and what you “should” do.

8. Because of the Ideas that Determine Our Thinking—New ideas lead to change. What new ideas can you search out?

How to Be the Master of Your Destiny

Like William Henley who once said, “I am the master of my fate. The captain of my soul,” I agree that Life is a Do-It Yourself project. If you want to live a certain kind of life, you are going to have to be proactive so you can consciously create life as you would like it. You must first mentally visualize and then physically create what you want. You can do this by having a clear vision and developing strong intentions. Your life is your gift, how you appreciate it and use it is entirely up to you.
Take this story as an example of the importance of building it with excellence and pride (author unknown):

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.
The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career.
When the carpenter finished his work, the employer came to inspect the house. He handed the front-door key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said, “my gift to you.” The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently.

So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then we are shocked to realize we have to live in the house we have built! If we could do it over, we’d do it much differently. And better.
But you cannot go back. You are the carpenter. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Your attitudes and the choices you make today build the house you live in tomorrow. Build wisely! Build with commitment, pride, joy, and love.
When designing the life you want to live and the work you want to do, it is important to pay attention to your longings/yearnings— this is your soul trying to communicate with you its deepest desires. The word intuition is latin for “in to you,” and by learning to listen to your intuition, you will make wiser decisions.

Contrary to popular belief, life is not meant to be a struggle. You are meant to experience ease and enjoyment, but you have to learn to listen to what your higher self is saying to you. And then you have to take action by designing your “life blueprint.”

What to do When Things Are Falling Apart

Happy Leap Year…..here is a special message I think you will want to read.
Divine Chaos is a course corrector, so whenever anything is falling apart, something new is getting ready to be birthed.

Most of us know that In the Chinese written language, the symbol for “crisis” is a combination of the symbols for “danger” plus “opportunity.”
We sit as such a moment now.
Recently I came across the idea of Divine Chaos being the perfect gift to usher in a new reality, one that is more in alignment with our true selves, our divinity.
When we respond, not react, to chaos with the power of our souls….then things do not seem so bleak or scary.
We begin to find FAITH (Find Answers In The Heart).
We often see something harsh and believe it to be so.
This is the way of the modern mystic, those of us hearing the call for radical change and stepping up to do our part, to be the Change Agents we were born to be.
One of the key components of the SHIFT of consciousness we are all in, is the ability to recognize False/Illusion from Truth, and to realize that our perception affects what we see.
We also learn that if we want things to change, we must FIRST BELIEVE, then see a new reality.
When it comes to money and abundance, we have to overcome our collective lack consciousness and see the abundance of the very world we live in.
To see the leaves on a tree, flowers in the field, grains of sand on the beach, fish in the sea, as evidence that there is more than enough for all to enjoy.
As Alan Cohen says, “The economy is an expression of the consciousness of those who create it ― all of us.
We vitalize the economy with expansive thinking and action, and we deaden it with fear and contraction. You have power over the economy ― especially your own
― by consciously choosing the thoughts you think, the attitudes you hold, and the actions that proceed from them.”

We collectively create our reality, and so each one of us with the ability to hold the higher vision must do so at this crucial time.

I believe there will always be money out there for people who know how to use it.
There will always be new creations out of chaos—remember “necessity is the mother of invention.”
I also believe this will provide the opportunity for people to begin the process of making their personal economies and start taking responsibility for their
financial future, instead of having someone else “take care of them.
When things get messy and chaotic in our lives, it is often a sign that it is time to correct the course we are on and grow and change in some way.
There is nothing to fear about this, in fact, it is what makes life LIFE and a great adventure.
A visionary thrives under all conditions.
I believe this is true because they see the higher view.
You have within you everything you need to create the divine life you desire, you just need help tapping into your inner wisdom and honoring who you really are.

Know Your No So You Can Receive Your Yes

To truly express Self-Love in your work, you must first know your NO, so Life can give you your Yes, Yes, Yes!

This often involves Change.

You have to love and honor yourself enough to stop temporizing (putting off) what you know you need to change or upgrade in your work/life situation.

Say Yes to your Self.
Yes to Love. Yes to Life. Yes to Wisdom. Yes to Others. Yes to Learning.

The soul loves to stretch, so let it.

Realize that all things serve to spur the evolution of your soul.

Love most definitely involves growth—Personal growth as well as the growth of our mastery of our work (which takes FAT: focus, attention, time). It’s been 20 years since I first stepped on this sacred path, and I am still growing in my mastery.

The essence of loving another human being, ourselves, or our purpose is to be dedicated to growth, and to find ways to actualize our highest potential in all of our relationships.

And we accept this because we love.

Wherever you are on the path to Living your Purpose, know that bringing more love to where you are right now, brings you closer to fulfilling your destiny.

Because love is a creative and healing force, any time you Love yourself more, you are radiating that positive energy to others, and ultimately, “doing the work of the Light.”

Let Your LOVE LIGHT Shine

It’s Valentine’s Time,, time to let your Love Light Shine. This is a picture of my soul mate on our wedding day 9-11-11…..many of you have asked me how did I meet My Mr. Wonderful? And in my book Destined for Love, I reveal my exact process. (more on that at bottom of today’s blog)…….

I believe that to the extent that you come to know your True Self/Soul, you can know others.

To the depth that you come to love your True Self, you can love others.

To the generosity you come to give to your True Self, you can give to others, for we cannot give what we do not have, nor love what we do not possess, or know what we do not know.

When people do that, we succumb to pretense and shallowness, which is detrimental to the SOUL.

At this time, we are at the end of the reign of the ego, and entering into the Age of the SOUL (which I write about extensively in my book, The Destiny Discovery: Find Your Soul’s Path to Success).
We have nowhere else to go but inward to seek and ultimately find our happiness.

Step Onto Your Path of Purpose

As I reflect back how I first stepped onto my own path of purpose, about 20 years ago, I remember reading my first “self help” books that were by the Love Dr., Leo Buscaglia (1924-1998), all of them made an indelible impression upon my soul, and I am delighted to see how his wisdom is still with me today and integrates so beautifully into my own purpose.

In my work andin, The Destiny Discovery, I teach about three kinds of purpose: the universal, personal, and professional that each human being has the opportunity to fulfill during his or her lifetime.

Buscaglia once said that “love is our greatest challenge, for love and the self are one and the discovery of either is the realization of both.”

This sums up the fulfillment of one universal purpose, of knowing who we are as spiritual beings.

He also “It’s not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something. May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of person-kind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely.”

This sums up our personal purpose, being loving in our relationships.

He also said, “God’s gift to you is your life and your talents. What you do with that gift is your gift back to God.”

And now we have the professional purpose, our unique contribution to the world.

My work is to help people fulfill these three levels of purpose in this lifetime, so they can accelerate the evolution of their SOUL.
